I do believe existing laws are not sufficient in addressing the reproductive health of Filipino women. RH remains inaccessible to many, including the residents of Manila. Misinformation about the bill itself is a reason for passing the bill. OCPs work and are safe if taken with proper consult. I do believe that we have to pour in money for this. It is risky but it is an investment. Trust the government as much as you trust your church. There is too much politics in the government and there’s also too much politics within the church. This is backed by able and credible legislators and is opposed mainly by the questionable authorities. Stand for the people, not for your faith. We might not be sharing the same God, but we’re sharing the same country. ;)

Miriam Defensor-Santiago's umffft on the RH bill

The personal/social history in the usual PE is where I usually inject my own campaign on RH bill when I talk to my patients.

Having a glimpse on their family size, educational background, social priorities and financial resources made me realize that the RH bill could help these families.

Talking and debating with taxi drivers is also a great way of spreading awareness and our views on the topic. I even managed to convert one just by sharing my personal experiences in my childhood, our perennial family problems and the kind of work I do today. ;)
